It's kinda slow here in the office during November and December. I've got some extra time on my hands. That said, I was looking through some old e-mails this morning and I was shocked to find that I still have some that I sent to a girl whom I was once very much in love with. It's strange reading e-mails like this because I don't feel attached to them as I once did, but they can evoke some of the emotion that I felt at the time of writing them. It's slightly unsettling yet fascinating at the same time, don't you think?
One Sunday morning during a busy season of mine quite a few years ago, I arrived at work to discover that a voicemail had been left for me. It turned out to be an accidental dial-up (of my office phone number, no less) made by a then-recent ex-girlfriend. I guess her cell phone was in her pocket or whatever.
Anyway, she didn't mean to call me. That's the point. And she was with another guy. And they were definitely flirting and fooling around and on and on…
Fucking brilliant timing, I thought. What a way to start a Sunday at work!
So I sent her this little gem (after calling her and telling her about it), which makes me cringe even now:
"Yeah, so don't ever do that again. I know you didn't mean to, but it was not cool for me to have to hear you with some other guy on a Sunday morning before I start working. I was doing fine....that fucking sucks. Just get away from me...far far away"
It kinda makes me laugh now because it's a pretty shitty e-mail to write to a girl who accidentally called me. What a jerk I was.
Of course, she did kinda cheat on me.
Bitch.
God, I need some work to do…

You weren't a jerk for e-mailing her that. She's the dumb bitch who should have locked her key pad so "accidents" like that wouldn't happen.
