My American Idols - Part 2
Well, last night was much more difficult for me to judge than the ladies. I found it easy to pick the ones I really liked, but it was hard to rank the ones that sucked.
Here goes…
1. Taylor Hicks - It's probably not a big surprise that he was my favorite, since he's been getting praise from everyone, but I couldn't let that alter my rankings. I enjoy his performances more than anyone else in the competition and I think that's all that matters.
2. Chris Daughtry - I'm a sucker for rock music, and he has an awesome voice.
3. Bucky Covington - I thought his performance was weak. He sounded way too gravely. However, I want to see what he does next, so he's high on the list.
4. David Radford - This kid is hilarious. What the hell is he doing up there?
5. Ace Young - He's a good-looking guy for sure, but is he that much different than a Backstreet Boy?
6. Elliot Yamin - He's got some fucked up teeth, but he can wail.
7. Gedeon McKinney - I think he's annoying, but he put on a really fun performance, so he definitely deserves to stick around.
8. Kevin Covais - I'm getting kinda sick of this kid. The novelty is wearing off for me. Yeah, he can sing, but would you really buy a record from this guy? Come on.
9. Sway Penala - I thought his performance sucked.
10. Patrick Hall - I like that Melissa Etheridge song, but this guy is just too bland.
11. Will Makar - Some preppy white guy singing The Jackson 5…Time to go home.
12. Bobby Bennett - This guy is a joke. I almost fast-forwarded through his Barry Manilow bullshit…
Tomorrow - My reaction to the cuts…

Jamie, you can always go to the AI website to match names to faces. How do you think I got all of their names right?
Luke, don't lie. You were ruffling through papers where you were keeping your "running tallies" when I talked to you after the girls. :)
I still cannot, cannot believe you have Radford above Elliot. I am disappointed in your Idol taste!
